1930 Census
If you are searching for Daniel J. Lesher in the 1930 census, he doesn't show up. Searching for "Anna M" Lesher brings up the 1930 census page:
Also, searching that same census for Clyde, Evalyn, Shirley and Betty brought no results...even tho they're on the same page.
Go Figure!
1920 Census
Daniel J. Lesher (listed in the index as "Daniel I." which is why I couldn't find him before), Anna M. and Paul E., home from WWI.
Clyde & Evalyn, 1920 Census: notice that GGrandfather Haven Pollard was born in Arkansas. Mom Duffie states that an Uncle of hers, on the Pollard side, traced the Pollard family back to one of the first women to step off the Mayflower. If we trace that, we might have to go to Arkansas census.
1910 Census The 1910 census doesn't show ANY Leshers in PA. Apparently the pages were lost, damaged, or simply not indexed yet.

Mercy....GGrandfather Lesher believed in the adage, "Keep 'em barefoot and pregnant!"

1870 Census
I wasn't sure about the differences between the 1860 & 1870 census. 1860 shows a "William D", one month old baby boy. That boy is missing 10 years later on the 1870 census, and we have "Daniel", age 9. With the infant mortality rate as it must have been in PA at the time, I suspect that William D died...Daniel would have been born about 1861-62, which is what we expected.
Also, in 1860 the wife was listed as "Catherine". She is "Kitty" in 1870. I believe Kitty is a fairly common nickname for Catherine.
The constant that made up my mind is "Lucinda Lesher", age 4 in 1860, and age 15 in 1870. The census normally accepts birth dates with one year since they mathmatically calculate them rather than asking.
I really think this is the right family, and that the Daniel listed is our GGrandfather Daniel Lesher.
