| This is the only picture I have of "Frenchy"... full name unknown. "Frenchy" did our cooking. The bodies were the only two we recovered from the 12May67 attack on Papa 2/4. They were part of the "suicide squad".
I believe the body in front was the one assigned the job of killing Phil Prince and myself in our hooch. |

This will strike a nerve with anyone who remembers the monsoon. On a perfectly clear, warm, spring afternoon, it started to rain. I ran into my hooch, grabbed my camera, and this is what it looked like by the time I took the picture. Less than three minutes of rain turned Papa 2 into a quagmire! |
